DR, I'm right with you. I'm Libertarian, but will vote for a good Republican if I can find one. It's not easy. Jonah

I am so mad at Texas Governor Rick Perry that I may never vote republican. He has made so many people mad over the HPV that he is finished here in Texas. Him and his whole family are on the take in my opinin.

I was wrong, and am very happy to say so. No $hit storm at all, everyone is being respectful of each other. Usually any discussion of politics gets real ugly real fast no matter what message board it takes places on, let alone one where people are known for growling, barking and biting! Everyone should be proud, and give yourselves an "atta boy" (or girl).

I agree with DesertRangers. Both parties are a disappointment. Unfortunately the overwhelming majority votes either Dem. or Rep. Voting for a third party at this point in history only dilutes the vote for your second choice (remember Ross Perot?) Isn't it NICE to discuss something as sensitive and volatile as politics without wading through emotional epithets for a change? :))) SS

The saddest thing I've read lately is that a child died in this country from infected teeth becasue his mother coudn't afford dental care and no dentist would treat him without the money upfront. Just a few days prior, some self-indulgent US citizen paid over 2 million dollars for a baseball card. There's no excuse for a child to die from bad teeth in the richest country in the world. I won't even mention the condition our wounded soldiers are enduring in some veteran's hospitals. Anyone see "Born On the 4th of July"?

The richest country in the world? National debt of 9 Trillion Dollars? Now what did I miss?

If you child dies needing any medicial help then you should be charged with child abuse! Their is plenty of help from private sources and government sources for children. As for the ventern's hospital there is no excuse and some people should go to jail for allowing them to be that way. It is not for the lack of money, the money is being diverated to used elsewhere. Samething happened in New Orleans, they were given plenty of money over the years to build and repair the dikes but they (elected officials) pilfered the money and used for their pet projects.

To get back on topic here I would say Is the "sellers" market waning? I would say that the showline market is slowing down due to the economy. But, at the same time I observe the working line market seemingly doing very well. Look for example at kreativekennels.com or eurosport - you can see these working type german shepherds sell fast. When one considers the changes in the world since 9/11 in security needs like bomb detection, narcotics detection, patrol dogs, etc... it is understandable why. Showline dogs just don't cut the mustard. What is to become of our breed? As to this question I hope that "our breed" will return to the health and temperment of a working dog. I'm tired of looking at Mals!!!
