I'm so glad I saw this thread. I wrote to two people yesterday about my dog. I never saw the request to edit link.
Thank you,
Franki

Jen, all I did was send you a message and an email asking why you locked her pedigree because that's how it came up when I went to add a picture to her pedigree. I'm sorry if you got additional so called hate mail messages etc. My messages or email were neither disrespectful sorry if you took it that way. I don't know why it would come up that you had locked her pedigree if infact administration had.

Because if she created it or possibly made the last edit before it was locked it could have happened. Members have no control over locking pedigrees. Moving forward, just contact an admin if you have questions or site issues. Most of the time another member is not going to be able to help you get what you want done.

NP, you can get edit rights by clicking the green edit button and requesting edit rights. BTW, the owner/editor/creator wording has been changed so hopefully we will not have many more issues like this. People see someone else as owner on their dog and I could see how seeing it might cloud a persons actions and words.

Thank you very much for clearing this matter up! It is greatly appreciated.

Just so we understand this will only give you edit rights. Jen will still hold creator rights.

Also, those with edit rights can not change the name :) It's locked for Mods and the creator

what if the creator is not the current owner or current manager?

To us it isn't about who physically owns the dog, it is about who created the pedigree and who has edit rights. You can inside the edit page add who physically owns the dog. I think you are getting to hung up on who created the pedigree and who actually owns the dog. Many many many pedigrees are created by the breeder but they don't actually own the dog. So, really IMHO we are splitting hairs.
