SchBabe; thank you for Agar's compliments everyone just seems to love him as much as I do. I'm told I got very lucky considering I had never dealt with Eurosport before and did not know anyone personally who had a dog from them. Basically it was word of mouth from a friend who knew a couple friends that had good experiences with them. I've heard too many horror stories from others that didn't get what they paid for from breeders so it's a scary thing to venture out to buy a dog not knowing if it's gonna be what you were promised. I will more than likely continue to buy from Eurosport when the time comes for another GSD. Hopefully you will see more of Agar as the weather begins to warm up.

I purchased a puppy, 8 weeks, from Eurosport.  While she does not seem to be firing in protection at 6.75 mo, she is a lovely girl with excellent prelims on hips and elbows and a superb overall temperament..  Taunya has made it clear that if she is not what I want they will buy her back so what more could a buyer ask for.  Taunya is a super nice person too, so I am very happy about my experience with them and would not hesitate to buy another dog from Eurosport K9,  Barb Eichman, M.D.

I got a very, very sick dog, was lied to about it being vet checked before going through customs and blown off countless times before demanding someone contact me for a resolution.  BUYER BEWARE!

SICK DOG.... Yes I was lied to about it being vet checked.  Within a week that the dog got here I took her to be spayed at my Vet's office and found out that she had chronic anaplasmosis that would have been picked up by any blood work.  The dog almost hemorrhaged to death and it was such a nightmare.  After arguing I got some of my vet bills paid but not even half, and got a small amount of money refunded (1k to be exact)  and now my dog is suffering from acute renal failure and can barely take care of herself let alone protect my family so you tell me people do you think  I got a good deal !  They never even called after they refunded me the $$ to see how she was doing, they just wanted me to disappear and fall off the face of the earth.   I'd post the transcripts but I think Tauyna and Josef would be mortified by the way I was talked to and treated.  Found out after the fact the dog they sold me they bought from someone else and blamed the health issues on them of course.  I HOPE I WAS AN EXCEPTION TO EUROSPORTS TRACK RECORD.  Plus its 5 months and still no papers, not that they matter now anyway.

dawngypsygirl-  How could you have been lied to about the dog being vet checked before going through customs??  The airline first of all would never put a dog on a plane without a health certificate signed by a vet...

Perhaps you mistook being "blown off" and in fact really weren't being avoided purposely but just possibly Taunya and Joseph were away?  They are very busy people and involved in a lot of different things that take up their time so sometimes it does take her a little longer to get back to her emails but I can't say I ever felt "blown off".  It's possible you did in fact get a sick dog, it happens, it can happen to anyone buying from the best of the best breeders, what's important is what they are willing to do to make things right.  You didn't mention what the outcome was of your situation as I take it you did finally make contact with Eurosport regarding your situaion?  Did they send you a new dog or do you still have the same one?  What was wrong with the dog that it was sick?

I have purchased 4 dog's from Eurosport in 6 yrs.All of which were exactly what I was looking for and if not better then what Taunya told me they were. All of them were showline's.While at a club meeting my 5yr old was attacked by a working line and feared going near any working line GSD's.After talking to Taunya one day on the phone I was telling her about the incident and she offered me one of her Galant pup's for my daughter so that she would realize that all working line's are not bad.My daughter accepted her generous offer, when shipped to me my daughter's pup came in contact with Parvo.Taunya and Josef were on a cruise (their 1st vacation in 10yrs) and still kept in close contact with me.As soon as they got home I was shipped another puppy.I did not ask for another because the Parvo came from the shipper not Eurosport kennel.Taunya and Josef did not have to replace my daughter's puppy but they did out of the kindness of their heart's.Most breeder's would not do that!!

Lisa,

I've had WONDERFUL experiences with my Galant girl and children.  I have a 4 year old at home, he was 3 when I got my girl (she was 12 weeks) and she is watchful over him and lets him pull toys from her mouth, tug her ears and generally be a toddler around her without turning a hair.

She's also calm and understanding of hoards of strange children swarming her or just coming up to her on their own before their parents can stop them.

And all this while she's gearing up to get her Sch 1 this year so she's also working!

I'd better be careful or I'm going to be sharing pictures of the pair next. ;)

I hope you and your daughter enjoy your puppy as much as I have mine.

I really like the breeding behing their GSDs, I like the looks of many of them, and like the stories I hear about their GSDs performance.  From what I keep hearing, these people are serious folks, breeding and selling serious working GSDs, many of which look very nice.  Seems to me like they have earned a pretty good reputation and produced some very nice GSDs.  If I needed a good looking serious GSD that could be easily trained for protection, I would definitely talk to these folks.
