Ida Bithim

by Ida Bithim on 26 August 2008 - 03:08

Diane (JakodaCD OA)....your contribution (details about Anaplasmosis) to this thread is worth far more than 2 cents...It is unfortunate, that you have 4 canine companions with this illness, my heart goes out to you...I hope your pups are doing well with treatment.

After speaking with Taunya, it was very evident the dawngypsygirl left a few things out...of course, most of us (confident in Eurosports business ethics) already new that there was more to this story.

here is a crosspost with Eurosports rebuttal to dawngypsygirls post...

I was devestated when I found out Billa had a tick disease. I spoke with Dawns husband Danny several times about it and spoke to Dawn  many times and tried to comfort her as we were finding out what the problems were with Billa.

While Billa was very sick in the hospital, Dawn continued to ask me what I was going to do for her. She wanted a contract stating what we were going to do to make up to her having to pick Billa up and missing making Dannys meal at night. It was very strange. At that time, I offered to buy her back. She said she loved her and wanted to keep her. I was so upset that I asked if we could talk business after Billa recovered and we see what is going on. I told her not to spare expense on vet Bills because I would pay them. I DID PAY THEM. She sent me the bill and I paid over $500. The only thing I did not pay was the spay. She sent me many emails saying she was getting better and I was really happy.

She told me she wanted compensation. I said " we want you to be happy with Eurosport and feel good about your rocky experience with us. What will it take to make you happy?" she said" I want $1000 back" I paid it and until today, I had no idea she was unhappy with me. She sent me the cute photo with Billa and her child about 45 days ago. I thought she was great.

There is not one email she can post that I would'nt want to be seen. I was kind and considerate to her and she is really pretty mean.

I asked her NOT to go away. I wanted to hear about Billa.

I dont know if I believe the dog is in Renal failure. Maybe she is but I hope not.

As a business person of any type of business- when a client tells you what they want and you do exactly what they want_ would'nt you think they are happy??? I wanted to give her another dog but she refused.

Billa is one tough girl and I bet she can protect.

Also, it is not possible to get a dog out of Slovakia with out a STATE vet and a GOV. vet stamp. That is 2 vets that have to see the dog before she leaves.

I would never sell a sick dog. What kind of monster would put  sick dog on a trip to America on purpose.?

I appreciate the "cheerleaders" as that turd called everyone. The reason we bust our rears to fit the right dog with the right person is because of a deep and passionate love for dogs. It makes me so happy when someone gets a dog from us and does something with the dog. Even a costume party is cool. I love our clients to keep in touch and tell us about their lives with the dogs.

Thanks for the support

Taunya

so now in addition to all that you put my family through with this sick dog your now going to say she's not sick.  Making Danny's meal at night...what ??? I don't even cook.  Look its obvious that you have to cover your ass- I dont have to jump on the Eurosport bandwagon and say how great my experience with you was because it wasn't.  You did not want to give me another dog, you wanted me to "wait it out" remember and you also said to me that you were too busy to deal with me because you had alot to deal with yourself and your own problems  which that made me feel really important after just spending 6k with you.  Best of luck- if you can sleep at night then your ahead of the game.

ACTUAL TRANSCRIPT/EMAILS after confirmation that the dog had anaplasmosis and sent paperwork to Tauyna___

Im tired of  being avoided for 2 weeks . Look at some point you have to call us obviously your there and avoiding our calls we expect more money back than just the vet bills or make arrangements to come take her back and refund all my money this is ridiculous.  Dawn

Don't be crappy to me. I sent you a check. Don't have time - I have other stuff I am dealing with now. I said on the email that we need to wait a couple of weeks to see how she does in recovery and then discuss things further. I will be happy to deal with you very soon, but not if you act ugly. Taunya

YOU MUST BE KIDDING!!! I'm acting ugly?  I have called you at least 3 times and you never return my calls. I think that's crappy don't you?  I could never have sold a horse to a client with all the problems I've gotten and sleep at night until I made it right but I guess Danny and I are different. How many more weeks should I be expected to be inconvenienced- its already been 6 weeks. And as far as you have other things your dealing with is that supposed to make me feel better, the whole reason I bought this dog from you was because of all the stuff IM DEALING WITH!  I want a resolution on this immediately - your avoiding the issue and you know it- Dawn

I am not kidding. Insulting me makes me avoid you. That is normal behavior. thought we were on the same page when I sent the vet money and we were waiting to see how she recovered. How can you say what you want if you don't know how she will be after she recovers from surgery.?The vet should have never opened a dog up without doing blood work. They would have seen she had a problem which should have been treated before she had surgery. Since they did not do that- her recovery will be longer.Billa had a good bit of special training that you asked for because of your situation.I tried very hard to please you and fill every request. I am still trying to please you by sending money for the vet. But, I am not going to be yelled at. I also don't like the way you are talking about her like she is a dead fish. She is a loving animal and it seems like you hate her now that she has a problem. Taunya

You call it being yelled at but basically the truth hurts.  You haven't even called me in over 2 weeks.  How dare you say we don't care about Billa.  I have postponed two trips, missed several days of work and even hired a temp to take my place a few days at the office while billa was in recovery so why would I be taking care of a dog that I don't care about- that's ridiculous.  Its obvious that I'm going to get screwed on this dog like you promised I wouldn't. I think to ask for an additional discount due to her condition and that I can't do any training with her for some time and she's not looking after me were looking after her is not too much to ask of a reputable breeder.   After doing more research I've now learned of several other clients that have had similar incidents with Eurosport and laura zoller.  &

emails got cut off-  I wish I would have done my homework sooner.  As far as having the blood work done you assured me that the vet in slovakia was checking her out and taking blood to check teh problem with her tail, and for all her shots and paperwork and so on.  So now it was my fault that the blood work wasn't done before her surgery?   To say the least I'm disappointed..... I'm sure if you were in my shoes you would be too- maybe 5k to you is nothing but my family thought long and hard before making this purchase and thought we were making the right decision. Plus were not just talking about a $600.00 family pet here, were talking about a very expensive personal protection dog aren't we - if she was a pet and was sick well theres nothing I could have done about it but let her rest and recuperate.  If I wanted another pet I could have gone to my local shelter.  I bought Billa with the intention that she had a job to do and unfortunately because she was never properly tested by you or whomever you bought her from she's suffering because of it.  And as far as the blood test goes- what if I decided not to have her spayed at all- this serious problem could have gone undetected and gotten worse and no one would have even known.  I'm trying to make her as comfortable as possible but I do feel like we haven't been compensated enough for all the hassle.  Look Taunya I know you love your animals, so do I.  We've both kidded around and said we like animals better than people. All I'm asking is for you and Josef to make this right.  I think an additional $1000.00 on top of the vet bills is fair, after that we know the decision to keep her regardless of her life long thyroid condition and anaplasmosis is up to us and we will accept and deal with that. Dawn

Okay. I think that is fair. T

fine we won't bother you anymore. I don't like that it had to come to this, we don't mean to be difficult but you must understand our concern especially when it seems you were too busy to return our calls- its not good business handling things this way.

Please re read my emails. I always said I would pay the vet- the spay and then we would figure out the rest once she recovered. If I bought a horse who developed issues, I would want to wait until the recovery was under way to assess the extent of damage before I decided what needed to be done. I have spoken to Josef about which dog would work as a replacement if Billa did not recover fully. He sent videos of her daughter to me yesterday and asked if you would like to have her. If Billa is not going to be able to perform, I wanted to get a dog to you who could take care of your problems and protect the family. If Billa will recover fully, you don't need another dog. Only time will tell that you have to wait. You got it in your mind that I was going to cheat you. I am sorry about not answering the calls. I am dealing with some health issues that have totally consumed my time. I am not making excuses because I always want to make things right but you have no way to know that about me. You become very hostile very quickly and it made me avoid you.  I want to keep in touch about her progress. Please tell me how she is.It was not very nice for you to say things about Eurosport and Laura. I had to fire her and clean up a lot of problems. I don't think there are any that are not fixed but please tell me what you were referring to so I can take care of it. Taunya   I truly am sorry about your health issues, but I could never avoid my clients whether they were for my husbands plumbing shop or my horse clientele and believe me there have been many days that I wanted to ignore them all or tell them to screw off but couldn't.  We adore Billa and

maybe EUROSPORT would like to pay my dialysis bills for Billa since they dont think she's sick.... wake up people.  There is a reason EUROSPORT wont provide you with a contract when you buy a dog- this is a perfect example of why...

Dawn, You have already made out better than you would have with anyone else, contract or not. Knock it off, already!! You are trying to GOUGE at this point and your behavior is disgusting. What IS the derivation of your screen-name, btw?

I completely disagree with Mystere I think Eurosport is doing the right thing and Dawn's expectation are not unreasonable it's just taking sometime to wade through the strong reactions to this very stressful situation.  I too would have been in shock had I been either Dawn Or Tauyna. I think they both got to a bad place with each other, both braced for a bad time of it , but it appears as if  things may be beginning to smooth out.  Just shows how important communication and reassurance is (and re-reading emails before replying:)  In highly charged situations like this it's hard to stay level headed and folks need to find their way back to level. Plus the timing was clearly bad for both parties, both had lots of other factors stressing them. Clear they have a ways to go but I hope they can continue moving in a positive direction, but  - IMO - emails like Mystere are not helpful.  - my impression is these are 2 very reasonable people pushed to the max so lets give them both a break here and help if we can not polarize the situation farther.

Nope sorry I don't agree. Gypsibitch can get as mad as she'd like but she acts as if Tanya has X-ray vision and can see through this dog to inner problems. Anyone who has ever shipped a dog knows bloodwork doesn't come standard and if you want bloodwork done before you buy, you have to foot that bill yourself. No way no how, could anyone have known this dog was sick by looking at it, so blaming isn't the way to go here. Sure it's a high stress situation and I'm sure I'd be dissapapointed too if I paid $6000 for a dog that came sick. I'd send the damn dog back at Tanyas expence and get a healthy dog or a refund but this woman didn't want to do that, she wanted to keep this dog and deal with it's problems, that was her choice. Should we now feel sorry for her making that decision? I hardly think she could be so attatched to the dog in a weeks time another healthy dog just wouldn't do. She sounds as if she is trying to be a PITA. Tanya clearly said, lets wait and see teh final outcome before making a decision, who wants to send $500 here $2000 there when it can all be done at one time, in the end?

I have not purchased a dog from Eurosport but I have talked to Taya about a few of their dogs and know she is a woman of her word, can be trusted and I would do business with her gladly in the future. She makes damn sure she knows what you want in a dog and then will give you a lineup of dogs available that fit that bill the best, she wont let you purchase a dog based on looks if it is not what you need at home, kennel or on the field. I also know contacting her via email is much easier than by phone.

Hey there smart girl (4pack ) if you knew how to read you'd see that I did in fact request bloodwork because the dog I purchased had a problem with her tail that was "supposedly" being checked out-   I never was told to send the dog back and I'd be refunded the money- I was told I had to wait repeatedly which was exactly what they were banking on - the fact we'd grow attached to the dog (which we did) I'd never send her back to slovakia- its all about the money with them
