Very nice picture...It's hard enough to take a picture of a Black dog but in the snow is super hard...So CONGRATS and a great shot...

really gorgeous dog. I can't control the show person in me so I'll just say that the dark eyes are always my first impression that someone was detail oriented.

why it's so important?
darker or lighter eyes won't provide dog's endurance which must be a base of GSD breed.
a muscular, sturdy build and good health will do it, irregardless of eyes color.

yea that's true Valk. eye color and many other factors have no affect on work.
the issue is that you seem to have never grasped the concept that the GSD world is very diverse and very large and covers a lot of ground.
and let's not forget that there is a breed and a club, founded by Von Stephanitz that does have some standards that were felt important. they are available in written form today.
anyway, looking forward to a lively discussion. and I do have a lot of respect for your views, some of them just ain't mine.
