  Hi,

I just adopted this puppy. The rescue agency said he's a shepherd/lab mix. As he's brindle, I thought that if he's indeed shepherd, he looks like he could be a Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix instead of a GSD/lab mix. After browsing the web, other possibilities seem to be Pit Bull, Greyhound, or Plott Hound. He seems to have longer legs than a Pit, and very large and flexible hips like a Greyhound. His ears, though floppy, when straightened look very Shepherd-ish. His muzzle from the front looks like it could be Pit, but from the side it looks Lab, and underneath it looks Shepherd. His fur is getting a bit long, which seems to argue against Pit and for Shepherd mix. The brindle makes those five breeds seem more likely, although I could be missing some. I've found pictures that make him seem like he could be any of the above possibilities - I'd love some feedback.

Wondering what everyone thinks - I'm pretty stumped!

Thanks!

too difficult to tell, at this stage he looks like a heinz 57.  May be easier to tell when he's an adult.
Beautiful brindle color.

He is a great dog whatever his blood. To me though He has a lot of Dutch in him and probably Staffy / Bull. His jaw tells me that he is a mix but rember in Europe the Dutch often had other breeds mixed in to bring on certain traits. In the South West of UK many Malinois and some DH are being mixed with Grreys and Lurchers.

The 4th picture makes him look like Boxer mix.  He has a very boxy head.
