LOL @ Betty!

by michael49 on 24 August 2011 - 23:08

As usual, people with no stake in this yapping about what they would do if it were them, " news flash" it's not you and it's not your decision to make. Talk is cheap, what a statement that is, just read the last few" if it were me posts" and you'll realize just how cheap it is.Some of you advisors are idiots, plain and simple. What a brave bunch of internet heroes you come across as with such great advise such as steal the dog back, beat the shit out of the person, maybe get shot, get charged with felony theft or worse, go to jail for a couple of months or more, spend a few thousand dollars on bail, attorney fees and travel expenses going to court in Oklahoma who knows how many times. All this great advice and to think I missed the post from either involved party asking for advice on how to handle this.                                           Michael

I'm with you, Betty. I seriously doubt anybody would have been convicted of more than trespass after going to "steal" their own dog. Court testimony would be so bizarre in this case that the odds of a conviction are pretty puny. Well, I'd have done it during my time off, but now I'm back at work and it's out of the question.

Yep, the court testimony would be interesting.  Might be the only way for all those dead dogs that were in her care get to be heard.

Bhall

Steve1, your statement about me thinking only of myself is BS.  Ok, so I go to OK from NC.  Now I have to find out where the dog is.  That could take a few days or weeks.  I may never find him.  We have what is called LAW.  Even though the law does not always work in our favor we have to obey it.  I also have a family including minor children.  Who is going to take care of them?  It is not about having balls or not but you telling me to break the law is not the right thing to do either.  Things will work out and come out but not by breaking the law.

by hexe on 25 August 2011 - 04:08

FFS, if it were as easy as just going there and taking the dog, don't you think someone would have done so by now?  To all the 'courageous' individuals who've been espousing this remedy, I ask a few questions-- Do you actually KNOW where the dog in question is at this exact moment, and if so, how do you know that...ya' got some kinda miracle freakin' tracking device in your genitals or something?  Because last I heard, nobody was sure where the dog was being stashed.
Or maybe you figure you can just roam the streets of some Oklahoma town, keeping an eye peeled for any sign of the dog, and then SWOOP! nab him and dash away onto a waiting airplane with no one with wiser?

Yeah, if I lived in OK and KNEW where the likely spots were that she could stash the dog, I'd have no reservations about sniffing around, snagging the dog and getting it the hell out of her hands. But I don't live in OK.  Let me know if a dog needs to be repossessed in NE MI, but going to OK would just be a waste of time, travel and fuel because none of us have the faintest idea where to even find the dog.

by VomMarischal on 25 August 2011 - 04:08

LOL now why would that tracking device need to be located in the genitals?

by hexe on 25 August 2011 - 04:08

VM, I was thinking of an old Rosanne Barr bit, in which she questions why men are always asking women where things are located in the house, as if the uterus were a tracking device...

Plus those who've said that *THEY* would just march right out to OK and take that dog back clearly have GINORMOUS balls, so that must be where they have their special magic dog-in-danger tracking device located and why those balls are so ginormous.

by VomMarischal on 25 August 2011 - 04:08

LOL. That's funny. She did have some good ones. Maybe we should talk HER into going on this mission. Anyway I think this whole thing of needing balls to use your tracking uterus is confusing. I'm hitting the hay.

Oh and several people do know where the dog is. I just know where he is on Google earth, never actually having been to OK.

BHall
There is such a thing as i said about hiring someone who is used to finding out things such as people it would not be impossible to do the same with a Dog,

micheal 49
No one mentioned beating anyone up i sure did not, I said No one would stop me taking the dog and that means i would do what i had to to get the dog away to another party, I would not be doing a Runner myself afterwards. Reason i would want it sorted once and for all and the person holding the Dog to pay for what they have done, meaning through the courts if that should happen and i would make sure that it did, The Law would soon have the full facts
And in the meantime if i got thrown into jail until it was sorted out them thats what would happen and it would be worth it because the Dog would then be back with me
To me a small price to pay, But i see you do not and would not have the same aspirations that i would over a mere dog.
And believe me Mate it is not Internet talk at all not with me. Personally i do not give two pence about spending a few months in Jail if the end result was worth it and in this case it would be well worth it to have my dog back by my side i have been through far worse in my life time.
However with BHall it seems that the Lady is on her own without a Male to help her out so that is impossible for her to do what i suggested,
If she has a Husband or boyfriend then there is no excuse.  Come to think of it if she has and i were him i would have been finding out the whereabouts of the dog long ago and the deed would have been done once i knew where the dog was.
Is not the one holding the Dogs breaking the Law in effect, for if she is not then you do not have a leg to stand on. One last thing,
Have you Bhall and Veronica already got a Lawyer on the case at this very time and has that Lawyer been in contact with the Person holding your Dogs that would be nice to know one way or the other
Steve1
