Desert dog, after reading your post I realize the PDB is still a good place to hang on, Sable59 I admire you for you keeping your word and standing behind your pups, what you did shows the good heart you have. Jiri is a professional breeder and I hope you work it out together with minimum losses. Good luck.
And lastly: Beautiful evening to you Red Sable.

It's these ridiculously high prices that bother me.  They imply a GREAT quality dog, and it just isn't the case.  If I pay that much for a dog, I don't expect it to have a folded ear, (that was conveniently not mentioned at time of sale).  I wouldn't even think of it having that issue, so of course I wouldn't ask, "Does this dog have  a folded ear?" before I sent them my money.

Obviously it is impossible for the buyer to see the dog, so these BIG breeders must be totally honest in what they are selling.  A buyer can only see so much, the rest is based on trust. That is where the big time breeders come in, obviously if they got that big, they can be trusted, yes?  Well, apparently not now,  maybe in the past which helped them get that big!

The name on the pedigree isn't as much of an issue to me, although, that should have been disclosed too.

Sable,
even if the ear does not eventually straighten up breeder could have not know that at 8 weeks of age when Wade was buying it. Maybe you can teach me how to do this. As a matter of fact I venture to say that not even at this age you can tell.
About us being big? Well we got so big because we provide quality pups and people vote with their dollars and come to us over and over for what we have to offer, Yes now and then there are mistakes made. But we always made them good based on our warranty or above and beyond my warranty. However I am not sure that this here  is the case and mistake was made. In any case between me and you the "beyond and above " is over and now it is strictly just the warranty to which Wade committed himself when he send the deposit. Also no pictures of consequence  was providedup to this time, even so I have asked for them repeatedly and the pup is too young to be definitively judged anyway. I forgive you  wade for your outbursts, but you should measure your words better. Especially when you claim that I am your friend.

I stand corrected Hans, I thought he bought this dog at 7 months, and every dog I've ever had, had ears up and strong by 4 months.

Hank, well put. See how much more headway you can get for someone's case by leaving out things like telling people (publicly and privately) that they're F-ing stupid, F-ing nuts, "don't know diddly shit," and telling them to go get f---ed??? This is also not the first time he has resorted to this level of profanity when people didn't say what he wanted to hear.

Amazing what a little class and cool-headed thinking can add to a discussion. Imagine if Wade had tried that tactic.

Ibrahim, my evening just got better thanks to you.

Hans posted same time as I did.

My sentiments exactly- with friends like this, who needs enemies?

When you bring issues to a discussion board, you risk hearing what you don't want to hear. If you can't take this for what it's worth, then keep it between the parties, especially when you're unable to stay levelheaded and civil. I do admire Hank's loyalty in coming to Wade's defense.

If i buy a puppy from a breeder and i ask for a Pup from specific Male then i would expect that person to be the Breeder of the Puppy and have his kennel name on the pedigree and he as the breeder and not one from another kennel just because the father of the Pup was his, UNLESS i was notified first and given the choice before the Puppy was shipped that is completely wrong thing to do.

That is not the truth!  The ovner of the female is the one who determies the kennel name and the name of each individual pup . It  is the rule obeyd by FCI breeders.

GSD PACK

OK I have looked at the video. The video is from June 25th at that time pup was 5 mo and 5 days old. The ear is upbut it is not perfect. As expected at this age.
Now look I am not saying that the ear is going to be up perfectly. But there is not telling at this time if it will be so. I have told Wade that when we determine that the ear is not going to be up, then we will offer to wade  another pup while he can keep this one. However Wade refused with words that we are "scum same as all other European kennels and he does not want any other dog from us".  Before that I have also  asked him how much he wants for the pup ( with intention to buy him from him back since I know about his health issues and his liquidation of his kennel) and he  said that he is going to keep it.
After being called names so many times by Wade while going above and beyond what my warranty says,  I am from now  on strictly sticking to the word of warranty.

How hard is it to get good, current pictures of a dog's earset if you're asking for a refund?

In the video, the ear is up, but loose. Dog is still young. If I were the breeder, I'd be advising to give it a little more time, keep the dog active and give him some bones to chew on to help strengthen the muscle supporting the ear.

But I wouldn't be refunding anything without either seeing the problem directly or having a good, current, picture.
