In the UK we are making great strides in encouraging youngsters to become involved with their GSDs and the show scene thanks to the great efforts by John Ward (Belezra). Thanks also to the many clubs who are now putting on junior handling classes and also to the judges who are taking the youngsters seriously at last.

Birmingham and District GSD Association are holding a rally day for youngsters to get some of the finest coaching in a relaxed and fun environment. This covers the show ring and also obedience, agility and judging. See
www.gsdjuniorrallys.co.uk for coverage of last year's event and also details of this year's programme on 11th July 2009.

I am aiming to get all entries in by this weekend (14th June) so please don't delay, let us know if you are coming and we can plan a great day.

Finally, if anyone can offer support to this event by way of donation then it would really be appreciated. We don't charge participants but most parents are able to make a donation and all donations are acknowledged in the coverage. Cheques should be made payable to BDGSDA and sent to: Shirley Hutchinson, Mount Farm, Stowe Lane, Hixon, Staffs, ST18 0NB.

Even if you don't count as a youngster - come along and enjoy the day with like minded folk without the pressure of competing.

See you there!
