Popsox - clearly another made up name - whatever your assumptions about me (and, by the way they are incorrect and I have never met Suzzane syers) NONE of it changes the fact that she's a woman with a history of lying and fraud.
I dont need you to advise me how to go about my business thank you very much. If it was impact you thought I was seeking then the facts of this make their own impact and need no assistance from me.  However, I'm seeking to make as many people as possible aware of the people running this rescue because I believe it to be corupt.
Your support for it speaks *volumes*.

"3. This story has been done before and noone cared then"

 No one cared then?
OF COURSE people cared then. Same as they care now. Problem is theres no regulation on rescues like this and its difficult to do anything to stop it but, believe me, peopele DO care.

Ah yes Lidia. It was you who *did the story*  last time was it not, about GSD Rescue UK that time. It turned out that your **information** was  1) lies or 2) uninformed and 3) deliberately misleading. So I guess you guys are going to have another go - GET A LIFE.  I guess rescue people get tired of dealing with people like you and Pope. I thought you were made to look pretty stupid over this last time out Lidia.

Pope - yes Lidia tried it on with the so called *financial irregularities* back then. They were no such thing - the background to the 'court case' is and always was openly on their website, and they were acting for the dog. I know nothing about UKGSD Rescue other than the fact this woman was at one time a volunteer for GSD Rescue UK. No doubt there are reasons she isn't now (!), and is nothing to do with them.

People on here aren't silly enough believe what people say without doing research, just like Popsox. Popsox - maybe it's time to reveal the identity of pope - so we all know who we're dealing with (unless of course he's Lidia as well LOL)

I think it's sad to try and drag down a rescue,  what exactly is it that you (either of you) are you doing to help GSDs in need? When are you gonna step in and deal with the s**t they have to deal with everyday?

While you're at it, you might want to have a go at boxer rescue as well.....
Please be aware that there is a non-refundable, donation of £250 required for each adopted boxer.  Wow, these rescues must all be making a mint! - shocking.

This is about a woman who takes dogs from pounds (stray dogs to you and me), or finds them on line then rehomes them often within the same day with no assessments . She can not enforce the adoption spaying agreement with new owners , and so some of the dogs have been used for breeding.

This is very worrying, and you obviously have proof of this? Same day rehoming? Please tell us more, or where this has happened.

Seems they are registered- found this on Companies House website, so they must produce yearly accounts.

"maybe it's time to reveal the identity of pope - so we all know who we're dealing with "

Yes, come on then popsox . Lets all hear it.

I have seen this before, same old same old. The UK German shepherd dog rescue along with the continued support from its three hundred strong volunteers has grown into one of the most successful GSD rescues within UK. In the past nine months the rescue has established a strong foot hold in the adoption world, something that took another well know rescue ten years to achieve, and to think this rescue will be only one year old in September. The rescue is registered and keeps finical records which are made public each year. I believe the rescue will be applying for charity status after September. (One year of trading is required)  The rescue re homes unwanted German shepherds from many different situations, some from house repossessions, owner deaths, marriage break-ups and council dog pounds. The rescue works very closely with other rescues and local authorities helping to rescue and re home GSD’s left in properties by their tenants and sometimes becuase ther owner has died, the rescue also monitors dog pounds and works closely with other rescues to ensure no stray or unwanted German shepherd is put to sleep after their seven days are up, this includes sick and old dogs that some rescue leave behind because they are too difficult to rehome. This rescue also monitors the free add websites for people giving away GSD’s free to good home and tries to educate people to the risk dog traffickers and other profits making schemes plus highlighting the benefit of using a registered rescue to find a loving homes for the pets.

The rescue is made up of volunteers that all play a part in the adoption and re homing process, dogs logs and records are kept of every dog that comes to the rescue, this process involves three to four people at least who all have a interest in the dogs welfare, the system does NOT allow any dog to be re-homed if a dog assessment or home check has not taken place. Any dogs that comes in as a stray or has no history goes straight into kennels for their first assessment, receives a vet check, vaccinations and are sometimes neutered & spayed. A stray dog can never be rehomed with children; stray dogs are often moved into foster homes where a second assessment within the home takes place. After all their treatment many of these dogs are rehomed for an adoption fee of £100 and in a lot of cases the rescue spends more money on a dog than it receives back in adoption donations. There is no profit to be made from this sort of rescue which is why many of these dogs come to the UK German shepherd rescue in the first place.

The bottom line here is the dogs, many people that attack this rescue are also in rescue themselves and see the rescue a threat, this often puzzles me as since the rescue started last September they have provided no less that 40 extra safe foster homes and 15 emergency kennels spaces, re homed hundreds of dogs, and worked with other rescue in re homing their dogs, how can this be a bad thing. Please get a life and let the rescue gets on with saving this wonderful breed.

Just a quick note, the German shepherd rescue UK went bust in 2002, you can check this on company house records.

Charles pope, I am really concerned about the goings on you tell us about.
The rehoming dogs the same day they leave the pound.
Rehomed dogs being bred from.
Using foster homes where people are banned from keeping dogs.

You must tell us more.

by yorkjason on 29 June 2011 - 23:06

PaulGSD2.    As you know so much about this rescue place can you tell us an approximate amount of dogs that have passed through their doors in the year they have been trading ?.
I see no mention of whether or not this rescue ever contacts the breeders of any of the rescued dogs ?.  Some dogs cannot be traced but many can by checking microchips or tattoos as well as dogs that are readily handed over with full papers etc.  I think the majority of good breeders would want to know the fate of dogs they have bred and at the least be given the chance to help rehome or take them back.   In general communication from rescue establishments to breeders rarely happens !.
