Thankyou Charles, appreciate that.

PaulGSD2 I wouldnt have expected the second in comand at UK GSR to be saying any different.
The point is that people expect honesty and integrity from folk in charge, and that's not the case with UK GSR is it?:(
I see Suzannes name has disappeared off the website. Perhaps that was just an over sight when they updated

by leiasmum on 30 June 2011 - 00:06

Who is this Suzanne? Why is she such bad news?
Very concerned that somebody so bad would be in charge.

Abby and Paul
So very well said to the both of you,,im so glad to see people standing by our rescues,,ive had many a fight wi people about rescue. I find alot of folks who bad mouth and spill venom have never nor will ever help out at rescue. I do believe that some people are funding their own asses and using a rescue as a cover.they should be ashamed of themselves and there will be proof somewhere. If anyone can or has proof of any dodgy goin-ons then they should take it to the proper authorities to be dealt with,,its all about our dogs and nowt else,,Gail.x

Perhaps a letter to the secretary of BAGSD - Mrs Little - to ask politely if this lady is a member if she has such a proven bad record.    I am of the opinion that this organisation should investgate if she is a member and deal with the issue appropriately, as she will no doubt - if what we ar hearing is true - be riding on the back of a "BAGSD Member" to unsuspecting folk buying from her.   Mo

"Just a quick note, the German shepherd rescue UK went bust in 2002, you can check this on company house records.  "

The records there state they were dissolved last year.

Mo- reports of dishonesty, fraud, and lies are already known to be true. In fact this woman pleaded guilty to them if you read the paper article. Right now she is riding on the back of BAGSD support.
IMO people attending events where proceeds go to benefit dog welfare, generally expect the rescue to be either a registered charity or that the management be beyond reproach. Where it’s known that is not the case, then IMO these people have the right to be advised in order they can make up their minds when handing over money.
Neither of these expectations are the case here which I find amazing when they are being backed by one of the best know breed clubs in the country.

by leiasmum on 30 June 2011 - 12:06

All I see is the discharge from fraud, nothing about dogs???? Am I missing something?

You said she has rehomed dogs that are being bred from, and rehoming the day they come out of the pound?? Where will we find more information on this please??? As a gsd lover, this is what concerns me most.

I have PM'd you leiasmum.

Yorkjason.
I feel your question is irrelevant to how many dogs have gone though this rescue, if they have helped 1 or 1001 it is a dog saved. This is my personal opinion of breeders, do breeders want their dogs back, well yes of course, they want young healthy dogs with good pedigrees, do they want there old dogs, aggressive or sick dog back, NO! Don’t get me wrong there are many bad breeders out there and some very good, a couple of whom I have recommend. The trouble is a rescue takes in a dog and is expected to re-home it to a home and vet checked family, a breeder will take the dog back and sell it to the next person off the street, this is unacceptable to any rescue. I would like to see the micro-chip system changed so it holds breeder vet and owner information. Breeders need to be responsible for the actions.

Charlesppope.

No not second in commend, check into your facts before speaking your brown vomit.

I cannot comment on behalf of Suzanne Syers, but while you are sat here being all concerned for the rescue donations, she is properly out somewhere pulling a dog out of shit hole or off a chain or most likely off death row, think of all the countless dogs she has saved, improved their lives and rehomed, does any of this matter when a little bit of dirt being spread around by another rescue is more interesting. If you know Suzanne Google her house, check what car she drives, then Google the other GSD rescue owner and she what house she lives in, you might find you can’t because she had Google maps banned from taking images so people can’t see their private detached house and the two new Range Rovers cars sat on her private land. This has nothing to do with Suzanne but the other rescue protecting their income and profits. I suspect if Suzanne decided to rescue Staffies then we wouldn’t be sat here now.

Perhaps we should spread this around the internet, tell their sponsors, paste it on Facebook, oh it already has, several times. Just pleased that some people put the dog’s interests first and are not so shallow.

I think you have to ask yourself is the problem Suzanne Syers or the rescue in a whole, if Suzanne was not involved in this rescue would the repeated reports to the benefit agency and the inland revenue stop, would the hoax urgent dogs stop, would the other rescue behind this vendetta stop well this answer is NO. The problem is not Suzanne but the rescue in a whole, the fact that every time this rescue fund raises or hosts a show they come under attack. Then this must be down to money not dogs. Like us many people worked for that other rescue and left because of incidents many volunteers where unhappy with, a large banner on their websites tries to play down. The UK German shepherd rescue was started by volunteers who left that rescue and started again, this time putting dogs first before mass funding, before politics and before rescue ownes needs...

"This has nothing to do with Suzanne but the other rescue protecting their income and profits. "

Not me this time Gov! I never mentioned an other rescue. Honest I didnt!
A cynical person might think you have *deliberatley* introduced lies into this debate Paul, in order to get the discussion thread removed before anyone else starts wondering when you produced anual accounts after only 9 months of trading.
