Does anyone know of a reputable trainer in the Southwest or even the Northwest who conducts seminars? Or does any one know of any online webinars?
Please only suggestions for people you or your aquaintences have had personal experience with.
Thanks,
Dawgs

Joe Tackett training Ellie Mea

Ellie Mae was a successful Search & Rescue Dog. Ellie is the
only Bloodhound with the incredible famous non-profit
organization Texas Equusearch. She has proven her abilities
and training over and over again in tracking criminals, children,
mentally challenged and the elderly. Ellie is well deserving of
her honor as The Service Dog of the Year 2007. Ellie’s success
stories are too numerous to tell. Perhaps Ellie will write a book
one day. If she could, what stories she could tell. In the words
of her handler, Cheryl Railsback here is Ellie Mae’s story:

Joe Tackett's Axel of Ironwood:
First Place AKC-WDS 1 and High in Tracking at
the AKC Working Dog Sport National Cup
Championship November 7-8, 2008.

Tks for the suggestion Sitatsmom.  Nancy I'm looking for someone geared toward SAR.

Tks.

Two I know of, but not really in your area.

Steve White out of Washington State [you can read his articles on USPCA web page] and
Chris Weeks [does SAR seminars] are both widely respected. Chris is New Hampshire LE, with his dog history starting at Lackland. We used him to help us set up our trailing training program and have had good success in real searches building on foundations he helped us build.

You may be able to find some contacts in National Search Dog Alliance who can provide suggestions for good instruction in your area. Norma Snelling is out west, does trailing, and has decades of experience - she also has past [current?] association with CARDA so is going to know many people on that side of the USA.
