Leotta, I am generally not a fan of German showline dogs, but your dogs are VERY nice. Their confirmation is nice and moderate with no extremes. They have beautiful colour and lovely expressions.

What are you asking for that puppy again?

--- > Maybe you've already had all the bad luck with dogs you're going to ever have?

From your fingertips, Sue, to God's ears... Amen....

She will have a wonderful family because I know she is a wonderful pup. I will be happy for her and sad for me.

Casey James's elbows are clicking horribly. I know he is going to need stem cell treatments throughout his life. He doesnt seem to be in pain, now, but that clicking when he walks can be heard from across the room, and dogs are stoic. The noise even wakes me up at night, if I am sleeping and he moves across the room.He performs several life checks on me during the night. ROFL!  He is only 2 yrs old and arthritis has set in his elbows. The OFA says he has DJD, as does his specialist. No meds for now, other than cosequin, perna sea mussel, dry ground ginger, sardines, GLA, Vit E, selenium, vit c, bromelaine and curcumin and Dr C's k-9 basic anti-oxident formula ( lol- thats ALL???). I dont want to start him on nsaids as if he starts this young, his liver will get fried.. If his breeder had told me about the other pups in the litter, and gave me a heads up, we wouldnt be where we are today...I would have done elbow surgery immediately, although, at 6 months he was still healing from his neck surgery  and he couldnt have 2 serious surgeries in a row. That was a 4 month recovery...They knew at 6 months- they didnt tell me till I asked at a little over a year of age. The damage had already been done. They sold his littermates they were holding back for show because they knew, but never told me. In fact, when i called them, at first they said they didnt know. They didnt know but the dogs were living with them??? What a crock! I was supposed to show CJ, but with his neck surgery, that couldnt happen, as he couldnt hit the end of a lead for a year, after the surgery. The surgeon didnt want any trama to his neck. Once his elbows were found to be bad, I certainly wasnt going to show him because I would never breed a dog with bad elbows.

sooooo...seems there is no end in sight with the medical bills. I will not have CJ be in pain, so I will do the stem cell treatments as needed. They are $1500 a pop and they do require anesthesia and hospital expenses. Its not like smooth sailing with the rapids behind us...CJ's are just beginning.. Due to the surgeries, and his puppy experiences with people, CJ comes on strong with people. His socialization was affected by his surgeries, with him being confined to the house while healing. Soon as he healed from one, he was in for two  others, and had to heal from them for another 3 months before he could go out. Then he started physical  therapy. So, no expenses spared, I had a PhD behavorist come in and work with him every week for months. I think he is afraid people will hurt him because of all the surgeries he went through. He did have one breeder come over after his neck surgery to see how he moved  and CJ only wanted to be with me, so I stayed inside. CJ was trying to come inside to me so the breeder grabbed him by the neck right where CJ had the surgery and pinned him to the ground by his neck from which the stitches had just been removed. I ran out and stopped it immediately. The things CJ is afraid of are things he shouldnt be afraid of, yet thunderstorms, walking on wire or unneven surfaces dont phase him a bit,  but he is either super protective of me or afraid of adults.. I still have a lot of work to do with him..  Believe it or not, He loves kids, believe it or not, and is in his element, with them, though he wasnt raised with them. I wouldnt want to bring a pup into an environment where CJ needs work and dont want him setting bad examples. I am afraid of what lies ahead with his elbows and that sometimes * off* stance that I watch like a hawk, in addition to missing Missie T, unbearably. Not a good environment for a pup and I want whats best for this special girl. Right now, there is just too much baggage in this house for it to be a good environment for a pup, but a love story- oh yes...
