Ok, how many of you actually brush your dog's teeth and what do you use and how often do you do it? I have purchased a 3 headed toothbrush and doggy toothpaste that is supposed to give her fresh breath. I just started brushing her teeth this weekend and after the initial wrestling match, she seems to be ok with it. She really likes the flavor of the toothpaste. Do I continue to do this everyday, every other day, once a week?

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Deb

I have cross posted this to General Topic as well.

My name is Debbie too and we must think alike. i bought that three headed toothbrush and the dog tooth paste and  Benny seemed to think it was a game. I think i will do it once a week. Don't see how it can hurt and  it makes him used to me grooming him, examing him.

I've always tried to brush my dogs teeth.  I try to do it about once a month.  I too just bought the mint flavored doggie toothpaste and my 8 month old loves to get her teeth brushed with it.  My breeder gave us a suggestion of buying a battery powered, small bristled toothbrush.  I've never used a battery powered toothbrush on a dog before so I tried it on her.
It made the brusing so fast and easy.  It's also easier to reach the back, she loves it.

Hi everyone,
The doggie dentist says every day. I use CET toothpaste, comes in malt, mint and poultry. Sabin just had a root canal done on a lower canine tooth that went south. Cap coming in next week.
Always,
Cee

We're using the CET toothpaste too.  Echo loves it.  I think I'll stick to the daily brushing for now as I'd like for it to be "old hat" with her.  RIght now it's still a novelty and she gets a little rambunctious during the set up.  I just don't move fast enough for her. LOL

Thanks everyone.
