that is a pretty interesting thought joan. to me it seems more a concidence of very strong willed, influential people coming on the scene in their respective countries.

I don't know. I think coincidence is a stretch. What came first, the chicken or the egg? Did American with influence go to Germany and see a subtle change in the breed? Probably, is my thought. Anyway, it's a long road back.

Eddy, I've been away a few days and have not had a chance to respond to your latest to me. I asked you to give only two cases of the shenanegins of the Martin Brothers. Your response was "----why do you need so much proof?" You also said you were not (not in Germany) there. You also said you had never been to Germany but you would like to go. You futher indicated you had never been a breeder and that you were trying to improve your knowledge. Your future quest is to be commended. but statements of now are to be addressed. You have besmirched the reputation and integrity of two of the foremost breeders in the hstory of German Shepherdom. You denigerated the breed in Germany and gave no evidence of same and you indicated that the Martin Brothers are responsible for thiis current status. Another writer on this thread states that the Martins coulld not have done what ever you think has been done alone. There were hundred of others breeding at the same time.
Just for your benefit I suggest two points when writing:
1. Know your subject matter
2. Make sure of your facts

I think the facts Susie posted above should be noted with care. I also think people like Markobytes have respectable reasoning and usual positive contributions.

why does everyone here dismiss what tiekerhook kennel breeder says about what the martins did to the GSD??
