Ok I looked at the pedigree I linked... I am confused..whose pedigree is that in relation to what you are asking..

I do not see anything in it you are asking for?

What pup are you asking about and what panda is involved..these are not panda shepherds..I am not familiar with what you are asking ...confused...

I have seen multiple livers in a close linebreeding on Pike, they also had some other problems in health

Yellow Rose sorry not sure why you are confused. Pedigree I posted ( thanks for posting active link ) is pedigree on a liver pup. I should have made that more clear.

My comment on the panda shepherd was in response to someone saying that pike is in the first panda's pedigree. Which he is but I would not say he is responsible for this mutation as there is another half to that dogs pedigree that is a mystery.

I was not saying he was the one resposible for the panda, just throwing it out there that he is "in the mix" of them since the subject of color is up anyways. :)

The sire of this litter is a hell of a working dog, just because he carries liver doesn't mean I wouldn't get a pup out of him. :) Just because a dog carries for dilute doesn't mean they shouldn't be bred, IMO.

Didn't mean for it to sounds as if I was accusing you of saying he was responsible. He does pop up on the panda peds at times but always from that one dog so that leads me to believe the panda part of it comes from the mystery side of the pedigree not the working side. JMO but he does pop up ALOT in livers. I would def breed the site and dam again IF they are good producers and they themselves are health cleared and working ( which these 2 are ) but I would possibly hesitate to breed them together again. Idk... I'm on the fence lol. I would not breed a liver.

Another Pike linebreeding. I know a breeder that just did a linebreeding on Pike. I'm interested in seeing what they get. When I told them about this they didn't seem very concerned about it. It's just something to be away of and know the possibilities and to handle it properly!    Pike produces nice and is nice to have in a pedigree.

Anyone else have any pedigrees of livers with Pike on linebred on Pike? Please share.

Thanks, and I know now that the pup you have is from this pedigree and how you only referred to the Panda info ...

Yes, would say , it can come from the 4, 4  on Pike

Was advised by a breeder who studied this liver gene, that this pedigree  you posted could be rebred and may not get any livers but would they carry the gene...percentage falls in the 40% to 50%, somewhere give or take , so the possibilities would be to find a mate for your pup who definately  , as choose a black gsd, that you know has no Liver carrier in him or her and breed from  that.

Your pup leading to Pike , as mine were, leading back to Uran , may never throw a liver..if so., sell it or place it with no papers so it cannot be registered or bred.

Bear Jerome never threw a liver in the litter he sired. I never bred him again, because I bought him for training and my companion.

I only clicked on this thread as I am always up for learning more about what certian dogs bring to the pedigree, good bad or otherwise...

Went to click the link & Demi's pedigree is no longer active, looks like her pedigree has been deleted

This is a litter mate though & also a liver: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2215437-dione-vom-noble-craft
