Koots and hexe, both of you touched on valid points. I don't know if I said this already or not, but I told him that maybe he got this pup to help him understand why he's superficial. I asked him if his wife lost an eye, could look at her without being angry. Of course he could, so I said this pup can't help the way she looks and maybe he needs to learn about himself and address why he gets angry. I asked him why he gets mad at the pup, said he wanted a great dog, then imeadiately said, she IS great. Shared some things about her character and demeanor that makes her exactly what he wanted, except her ears are soft. And round and round we went for over half an hour.

Yeah, he definitely needs to visit a psycologist IMO.  It's become a

'fixation', from the sound of that.

note to self; never be a breeder, never be a breeder, never be a breeder...SMH

And without good breeders, there would be no good dogs...only feral dogs that animal control hadn't killed yet, hanging out at the land fills.

What an ass, I really hope that he comes around and returns the pup to you. She deserves an owner who will love her no matter what it is that her ears do. Getting angry over something like this can't be good for her; it's a certainty she knows he is unhappy with her but she has no way of knowing why or how to fix it. Best of luck to you for a happy resolution for you and the pup.

I too would tell him, full refund, give me back the dog.

I had a woman a couple years ago, same problem, BTW...the ear did go up. She called , telling me at 6 months she was worried about it. I told her give them time, he was a big heavy coated male.

Three, four days she called crying about the ears. I told her, bring him back, I will give you all your money.

Oh no, she loved him to much for that. And I like you, love my puppies. I could never leave them where the buyer 'has attitude' on the dog. I

In fact, thats part of my guarantee, if you get a dog that you end up not liking, or the dog dislikes you, PLEASE BRING HIM BACK, I will replace or refund. I don t want any of my dogs in a home they are not loved at. EVER!

I agree, I would take the dog back and refund . But they will never get another dog from me.

Such people miss the essence of what sharing our lives with a dog i s all about.
