That's better.....do you like his pasterns?
by Smiley on 31 May 2015 - 15:05
I'll take....no dog is perfect!
by Blitzen on 31 May 2015 - 15:05
I dunno about that - compromising on the pasterns that is, not that there are no perfect dogs. Strong pasterns and good feet are pretty important to a working dog.

Blitzen.....he did have a ScH 3 and all the progeny I have seen have MULTIPLE performance titles....and my bitch has strong pasterns. Out of all the things I would worry about, I can assure you pasterns are down on my list! I would breed to that dog in a heartbeat assuming his health and temperament were excellent!!

Sporter....nice!!!! Is that South American for the SA? I wish more dogs would be shown natural and then stacked!
by Blitzen on 31 May 2015 - 16:05
What about one of his progeny? Any of them of any interest?
by Smiley on 31 May 2015 - 16:05
I'm trying to locate several......*sigh*
by SporterGSD on 31 May 2015 - 16:05
Yes, he`s South African. Breeding style there is pretty much SV except that SCHH1 is not compulsory for breeding

The type you like is sometimes a UKC Champion. Check out:

Some of the other DDR dogs have the classic look.
For a level and good looking back plus a very classic, strong GSD head, plus great pigment, check out Mick vom Fluchtweg (Hungarian import) at:

Looks like these guys are still alive.
