@joanro -

That really sucks... I haven't seen those types of actions at trials...yet. I have seen, what i interpreted as, as judging having a duller pencil on a dog from his own breeding. but nothing as blatant as what you put forth.

BTW, is anyone else on this PDB concerend with Michele Scarberry now being the UScA National Breed Warden? I have been watching what she has done since election and reading the EB Ballots she has been pro-posing and after a conversation I had with her husband Mark regarding titling Females, I swear she is the new Martin of our time

And what do any of these comments about gifts at trails have to do with the size of the dogs over the years.  Why do you have to make an informational thread a bash on someone or something.

I am happy that we have members here that have been to so many trails, Are you all going to the  same trials (clubs) or are all doing this.  How can this happen if you stand up in your masses and complain.  You can also go to another club or form an honest club that you control.

But stop changing the topic

Someone brings a good article here to share and you treat them like this.  No wonder Ibrahim does not come here often anymore.

Some of you joining this off topic bash have hit the abuse button more than a few times when someone goes off topic and get mad when I don't punish the offender and make a lot of snide remarks about a favorite member or protcted member.

Aakay – I knew where you were coming from and my post was just a comment.  I liked the picture of Condor but I do not think we will ever get back to that because things have gone too far too soon.  Everything now will appear to future newcomers that the breed has evolved through Arminius and Wienerau.  It is pretty easy when you can give top honours to your own breeding and that of your brother.

What I've seen has occurred during trials at different clubs, I certainly had no say so, being as I was there to title my own dogs. After months of working/training then finding trials within a day's drive, I'm not going to get into a fight with the club. Just take my hard earned titles and learn from experience. Its not bashing when facts are shared. If you went to buy a car that was hyped up as wonderful, but has an airbag that could blow up in your face, wouldn't you want to hear about it? Or just listen to the wonderful reports from those who didn't experience the shrapnal in their face?
I can't download the link, so didn't know all the previous comments, which i responded to, were 'Off Topic'. This forum is so strict anymore, its difficult to be able read and respond to without being off topic. I apologize, and will keep any experiences I've had at the various clubs where I've trialed to myself. Sorry for messing up the thred.

Sorry for taking the thread Off Topic... But not sorry for bringing up the info on the author of the article

Want to talk about the trials you have been to or anything else make a topic    When I read something and it brings up something related then I go make a topic no problem not being restrictive in any way just show some respect and stay on topic or make your own thread.  Like I said so many have hit the abuse button about this that I feel that is what is wanted.

Joanro why did you feel that you were being singled out?

by ILMD on 14 July 2015 - 18:07

the only threads I have ever seen not go off topic on this board are the ones not worth the bandwidth to discuss. If the qualities that make up a GSD do not stir intense feelings and debate in people, then they are not people worth discussing the GSD with.

it's not that the board has become so diffulcult, it's that a couple of people feel it is their job to approve what is and is not discussed. how about we leave the modding to the mods or maybe the OP of a thread to keep it on topic.

or we could just discuss the same old non offensive, boring bullshit that there is no difference in GS dogs, clubs, lines, breeding, pedigree or work ethic.

nah, not me.

I'll start a new thread on this hot topic.  I think it's a very important topic for discussion.

WR, not singled out but included. Easy to figure out by your post following mine. :-)
Like I said. Sorry to go so far off topic, should have been talking about how my dogs are not oversized because I don't breed oversized dogs.:-)

by joanro on 14 July 2015 - 22:07

Don't want oversized dogs? Then don't breed them...that's all there is to it. And if you have an oversized gsd, don't show him...even if the judges 'fix' the measuring stick.
