Incorrect skeleton.

by Ibrahim on 13 February 2016 - 20:02

I am afraid if I post skeleton by Linda Shaw she will not like it as hers are copyright

Ibrahim, the point of the shoulder is even with the point of the sternum. So the upper arm is very misrepresented in both those pics.

An imageIbrahim; 'I understand, work line breeders mostly do not focus on conformation (they have no conformation agenda) so shoulder bones were less affected.' So very not true. If I didn't care about conformation, do you think I would have this?

Those skeletons in your link are not of show line GSDs. Do not expect to see such angulations on a show VA.

by joanro on 13 February 2016 - 20:02

'Those skeletons in your link are not of show line GSDs.'

But the gsd is supposed to be one breed, a utility breed.

'Do not expect to see such angulations on a show VA.'

And that is where the problems are...the va dogs. Breeding for angulations instead of utility is not going to produce anything but but angular dogs which lack utility.

Joanro, I was just repeating your words and added ( I know work line breeders do not have a conformation agenda, while show line breeders had agendas of "bettering"or increasing angulations of rear, front etc. I did not mean you do not care about structure, but structure to you does not mean same what it means to a show breeder.

The funny thing, you produce/produced a better front reach, better close-to-ground trot and better elbow open than a VA

Joanro, I mean no harm, my English is as bad as Vegas trot, that's all

by joanro on 13 February 2016 - 20:02

Lol. Ibrahim, you are a good person, nothing 'bad' about you:-)

by Ibrahim on 13 February 2016 - 20:02

And I am not happy, I am in fact ANGRY, after all betterment what did we get???? Nothing
