You have a beautiful pup out of some very nice working line dogs. If you are planning any kind of sports with your pup, you ll probly do just fine.
Hope you are planning an active life cause I got a feeling that one may. Keep you busy. Have fun.

What a cutie!

Not familiar with any of the dogs in the pedigree except Eqidius, which are Czech WL dogs.

However, based on the achievements of the dogs in the pedigree overall, I have to agree with @kitkat3478. You're likely to have your hands full.

Pedigree-wise, looks like a very active pup, so make sure he's kept properly exercised and mentally stimulated and doesn't get bored, or he'll likely "find" something to play with.

The dam has fair hips, so make sure your Vet knows and can advise on any special care or precautions for your dog. Best to take the entire pedigree back 7 generations to the vet. If it were me, I would want to know the status of the dog's hips as soon as possible, and get set up to have x-rays, etc. done at age 2. The results could impact Veterinary care and breeding decisions. The biggest thing to avoid future problems, regardless of what the hips and elbows grade out to, is to keep the dog from getting overweight. There is some discussion about some events/exercises in some sports with regard to hips, so do your homework and work closely with your Vet.

Have fun!

I've noticed that Sarah Willard has started a very nice breeding program, Kennel von Blitzkrieg. In particular, I have taken notice of some of her other litters which have featured 2-5 linebreeding on Drago von Eqidius. (The gentlemen at Jinopo in the Czech Republic have noted that the more notable Eqidius dogs are the females.)

What excites me more in this pup's pedigree is the presence of Bomber vom Wolfsheim and Paska vom Salztalblick. For more about Paska, click here: https://bestblackgermanshepherds.com/about-paska/.

In addition, this pedigree contains many dogs with distinguished reputations I see over and over again here on PDB: Asko von der Lutter, Yoschy von der Döllenwiese, Aly vom Vordersteinwald, Dago vom Schwarzen Pegasus and his sire Marc vom Herkulesblick, Tom van't Leefdaalhof, Drago's sire Nash vom Lisdorferland, and Bemoan Bee. Simply click on each of these dogs in your pedigree to start looking for more information on them and the dogs in each of their pedigrees.

It seems to me you have purchased a well-bred pup.  Now, it's up to you to develop all that potential that's been bred into him.

I'm more focused on WGSL's, but I had a male who had a bit of everything, so I learned a bit of WL, DDR and Cz lines... This is what I see: In paternal Generation 4, you have a female, Enny, who is littermate of Ellutte & Eros v d Mohnweise... Bred to the very good Zidane v Haus Sevens. With Gringo v d Nohnweise on the bottom of the pedigree, it adds to the well bred dogs already mentioned above and arguably makes Coal a pseudo Mihnweise dog. That's not a bad thing.

Line bred on Aly, Tom, Dasty are all good. Fero... It's hit and miss because he was often bred indiscriminately and he's mostly in gens 6 & 7. Quite a bit of good Karthago lines.

I think that you will be pleased with your pup. On paper, he has good potential.

Many Thanks for all of the information! He has been a joy so far and learns so quickly. We have his Puppy Star so far and will continue to work with him. Appreciate the advice about his hips and will make sure out vet is aware of his history. Again, many thanks for taking the time to respond!
