He concluded his show career because he could not go any further. No chance to become Sieger now, too old. . Was he sold to the Chinese for >$600,000? He probably would have gone Sieger in 2020 had there been a show.

The owner's name on workingdog seems to indicate, however, USA has people from all over.  There's an ad for puppies from this stud on PDB with a California phone number.  The website says the kennel is in Washington and shows a phone number with a Washington area code.  The website doesn't reflect ownership of Asap, and it's different from the owner listed on WD, so likely used stud services/semen.

Congratulations to Asap on a distinguished career. IMPO, the 6 year old limitation is yet another tool of the SV industry to press forward the next crop of studs to hawk to the rubes. Asap was still winning at his "ripe old age"... and, IMPO, could have won over the current VA1. IMPO, longevity is a hallmark of health. Letting them compete, until they are no longer competitive... But that would obstruct the "progress" of the leaders of breed management. We went from Vegas, Yerom & Yukon in 2009 and Ober v Bad-Boll in 2010 to Remo in 2011 and 2012... Chaco, Leo, Fulz and Paer in '13 and then two years of Ballack dominance... and since then... Champions of questionable working ability. One has to wonder what steers the SV's logic to pick for VA1 a dog that missed the long bite??? And don't get me started on the '21 VA1? Don't they have "lifetime achievement awards that don't require stripping another dog of a championship? IMPO, Asap should have retired as a 3x VA1.
